Description
PERMA-HAND™ Suture, Black, Size 6-0, 18", with G-1 Reverse Cutting Needle, is a nonabsorbable surgical suture composed of silk, a natural protein filament. It is designed for use in soft tissue approximation and ligation where extended tensile strength and prolonged wound support are necessary. As a nonabsorbable suture, it remains intact indefinitely unless removed.
The silk used in PERMA-HAND™ Sutures is specially processed to remove natural waxes and gums, resulting in improved handling, smoothness, and tissue passage. The suture is then uniformly braided to offer flexibility and reduce fraying during use, providing consistent and dependable surgical performance.
The included G-1 reverse cutting needles are 11 mm in length, made from stainless steel, and designed in a 3/8 circle configuration. Their precision reverse cutting tips are ideal for penetrating dense or fibrous tissue such as skin. PERMA-HAND™ is widely used in ophthalmic, cardiovascular, and microsurgical applications where nonabsorbable performance, visibility, and handling characteristics are paramount.
